Spring is coming; get out and smell the flowers

It might be only February, but already the crocuses are out in full force and the daffodils are shooting up ready for their grand show.

England boasts some of the worlds finest country gardens and each year they put on spectacular display of blossoms that are a joy to see. 1. Anglesey Abby, Cambridgeshire: Enjoy a spectacular display of daffodils while taking in the heady scent of over 4000 blue and white hyacinths. Don’t miss the spectacular Silver Birch Grove which is carpeted by a sea of tulips.
2. Peckover House, Cambridgeshire: A beautiful lawn over hung by amazing specimen trees such as ginko and tulip, make for the perfect place for a tranquil time to reflect on the wonders nature has to offer this time of the year.
3. Wrest Park, Silsoe, Bedfordshire: Never fails to impress whatever the season and in spring, you witness nature coming back to life. Combining 90 acres of woodland, picturesque winging waterways, ornate statues and colourful parterres, there’s much to see and enjoy at a leisurely pace. Spring at Wrest Park will introduce you to the heady spicy scent of the witch hazel tree. Couple with the scent of the ‘winter sweet’ and the chocolate scent of the tiny Azara, you’re in for a gastronomic experience for your nose.
